Ghisolfi: "Ranieri? I hope he stays, but it's unlikely he'll change his mind"

“I hope Ranieri changes his mind, but it will be difficult”. The Giallorossi sporting director Florent Ghisolfi does not hide his desire to see Sir Claudio on the bench again next year. The results have gone beyond expectations, with Roma potentially going within 2 points of the European zone against Monza tonight. “I don’t want to raise the stakes. I hope he can change his mind,” Ghisolfi smiles. “But he was clear and so we are working on the future. But the most important thing is the present, so Monza and then the Cup. We have important things to do, we are hungry”.
In the meantime, however, the French manager continues briskly on the subject of renewals. “Pisilli is very important for us,” admits Ghisolfi. “He is a player of great quality and is already in the national team, he is a son of Rome and we are also happy for his mentality. He is a golden boy who always gives his all on the pitch. For us in this project with the coach, the mentality is important. Paredes and Svilar are also the future of Roma.” And in fact their renewal should be announced soon. Now we have to think about a chase that until a month ago seemed impossible. “The teams ahead have lost points, but this must not distract us. We know where we come from, we do not want to give up anything now and we are hungry in both competitions,” concluded the Roma sports director.
